TRAVIS McGowan has officially withdrawn from round three of the Linddales Australian Championship at Mount Gambier.
His spot will be taken by seventeen-year-old Richard Sweetman (NSW), who went within a whisker of making the field for this year's title. And McGowan's misfortune has handed him an opportunity to prove selectors wrong.
This youngster is very classy and his performance will be monitored closely by many - including talent scouts from the UK.
