GREAT news for Swindon supporters is that they will, after all, be permitted to attend the club’s Season Launch on Thursday 13 March.
Promoter Alun Rossiter explained: “Unfortunately, it was down to a mis-quote from me that supporters weren’t initially invited along and I am very sorry about that.
“However, I am happy to say that the supporters are more than welcome to attend from 3.00 p.m. onwards on Thursday.
“Due to the timings, we will not be collecting donations for the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund and we look forward to seeing as many of the fans there as possible.”
The schedule for the afternoon follows:
1.00 p.m. Coffee reception in the Legends’ Lounge for press, media, sponsors and guests. Informal opportunity to mingle with the 2008 Robins.
2.30 p.m. approx. Press photo call in the pits (for stills).
3.00 p.m.-3.15 p.m. approx. Riders take to the track for practice and the public admitted to the stadium. Opportunity for action photography and filming by members of the press and media.
