ALUN ROSSITER is to ride for the Robins in their Elite League fixture at Lakeside on Friday (4 April).
With club No. 8 Cory Gathercole unavailable, as he is due to appear for the Isle of Wight at Somerset in the Premier Trophy, the Robins' boss has found great difficulty in finding a suitable guest replacement for the injured Theo Pijper.
As such, Rosco has been left with little option than to ride himself on the night.
Rossiter said: "I realise this will be a shock to the supporters, but I think I can do a job on the track.
"I've tried so hard to get a guest, but it has proved impossible. Perhaps, someone will turn up in the meantime, as we still have time to make a change.
"But, if I have to ride, then so be it. These things happen from time to time and I'll just have to get on and do my best.
"At least I'll be mounted on one of Leigh Adams' machines, so I know that will be OK."
