ROBINS' boss Alun Rossiter has come clean after his fun on April Fool's Day, when he indicated that he would be riding for the side in their away league match at Lakeside on Friday 4 April.
Rosco said: "Yes, we had a bit of a laugh with it and I think everyone saw the funny side in the end.
"There were a few supporters taken in by the prank initially, but I think they soon realised that it was the first day in April.
"It was good and I'll have to think of something else for next year!".
In reality, Birmingham's Phil Morris will actually replace the injured Theo Pijper in Friday's encounter at the Arena-Essex Raceway and this could well prove a shrewd choice of guest, as the former Reading stalwart was the Hammers' No. 8 rider in 2005 and certainly knows his way around the Purfleet circuit.
Swindon will line-up as follows:
1. Leigh Adams (Captain)
2. James Wright
3. Troy Batchelor
4. Mads Korneliussen
5. Travis McGowan
6. Phil Morris
7. Seb Alden
