Rosco news Swindon boss Alun Rossiter speaks to swindon-speedway.co.uk about Saturday’s defeat at Eastbourne and the upcoming fixture at Poole.
The result against Eastbourne:

‘It is obviously extremely frustrating to lose by two points, especially in a last heat decider. I suppose we didn’t anticipate Leigh getting beaten in heat fifteen but it was a cracking ride from Scott Nicholls’.

The fitness of Theo Pijper:

‘Theo is fine and thankfully came through the meeting unscathed. He obviously struggled for match fitness on Saturday night but we are hopeful it won’t be long before he is riding like we all know he can’

His heat fifteen selection of Adams and McGowan.

‘Hindsight is a wonderful thing but at the time it was decided that it would be best for Travis to partner Leigh in heat fifteen. Troy had been suffering from some clutch problems and that was part of the reason he fell in heat thirteen. After that fall we weren’t entirely sure whether Troy was in the right frame of mind for the nominated race and that was a decision he agreed with’

The performance of Seb Alden:

‘Seb rode extremely well and is now showing some excellent form. He was struggling with equipment so the club stepped in to purchase a new engine and the rewards were clear for all to see. He showed great speed at Eastbourne and we are hopeful that form will continue at Poole on Monday’

The trip to Poole on Monday:

‘Going into the meeting we have to be confident. We contributed a good team performance against Eastbourne and we will be looking for the same kind of commitment at Wimborne Road on Monday. It would have been good to win at Eastbourne but it wasn’t meant to be, we’ll move on now and concentrate on getting a result at Poole’
