Initial thoughts
Swindon have offered me a good deal and they seem really nice people so I’d be stupid not to take it up.
Background in Speedway
I live across the road from the Shields family, Adam is currently riding in Britain. My uncle Neil Ashman used to ride speedway about twenty years ago and he taught me how to ride a speedway bike at the age of eleven and I have progressed from there. My home track is Gosford Showground, I try to travel around a fair bit, last weekend I was at Townsville in Queensland.
Thoughts on the 2008 season
I planned on finishing my diesel mechanic apprenticeship before I went over to England, but in the end I couldn’t resist temptation.
Who wouldn’t want to ride a motorbike for a living!
It’s going to be hard for me because everyone is already in the swing of things in Europe, so I might take me a few meetings to get up to speed.
The link up with Swindon
I’ve always had offers, it started off with Kings Lynn and I thought about their offer a lot. I was really close to signing the papers but then other clubs started contacting me and offering better deals.
The management at Swindon seem awesome, they are nice people, realyl good and I can’t wait to come over.
On his arrival in England
We’re not really sure when I’ll definitely be flying over, we still have the work permit forms to sort out. Once that is completed I will be jumping on a flight, I’m really excited.
