Troy news Swindon’s Troy Batchelor has had the cast removed from his fractured elbow and will now begin a course of physiotherapy to aid his recovery process.

The Australian youngster is set to visit renowned physiotherapist BrianSimpson in Ipswich on Thursday for the first in a series of treatments.

Batchelor broke his elbow on Tuesday 17th June whilst participating in atraining session for his Polish club Leszno Bulls.

The injury has seen the Queenslander miss three Swindon fixtures, one at home and two away from the Abbey.

Swindon manager Alun Rossiter has been buoyed by Batchelor’s recovery.

‘Now the cast is off Troy is a lot happier in himself. His mood hassignificantly lifted and he is focussed on getting himself fit as quickly aspossible.

However, we won’t be rushing him back into action and will monitor hisprogression closely. We don’t want this to be a recurring injury so it mustbe one hundred percent healed before Troy returns to competitive action.

All being well I would envisage Batch returning the week after the World Cup for the away clash at Ipswich on 21st July.’
