SWINDON'S junior side, the Sprockets, rounded off a successful night of Blunsdon action with a victory of their own in a challenge match against Somerset.
It was the first opportunity Swindon fans had to witness Richard Sweetman ride at Blunsdon and the Australian youngster certainly caught the eye. Indeed, Sweetman would have collected a flawless nine point maximum if he it hadn't of been for a fourth lap, final bend fall whilst comfortably leading heat one.
Sweetman's heat six race winning time of 69.67 was just three seconds slower than Leigh Adams' heat thirteen in the seniors meeting against Ipswich.
Elsewhere, Justin Sedgmen roared to a paid nine point maximum whilst Charlie Saunders contined to show exciting signs of progression. Ryan Sedgmen also impressed as the Sprockets eased to a comfortable victory.
