Read Troy's thoughts on the thrilling draw with Ipswich and much more....

On Thursday's 45-45 draw with Ipswich

"It wasn’t great tonight, but considering the score at one stage I think we pulled it back well. We could have done with Mads [Korneliussen] tonight, that’s for sure, we missed him heavily."

Own performance

"I was unhappy with the first three rides, then I changed bikes and got two wins. It makes a big difference when you’re happy with your engine. I was definitely pleased with the second bike, I’ll be sending the first engine away to get fixed."

Defeating Ipswich guest and arch rival Chris Holder

'He’s just another rider, nothing too special."

Making the start in heat fifteen

"I knew I had to pull something out for the last race and it felt really good to win it. I got to the first corner and it was a case of ‘see ya later’, it felt great to get fresh air.

"I couldn’t get my first bike out of the start. In one race I came from last and almost ended up winning on the line. That isn’t good enough for me, it’s great for the fans, but it makes it hard work for me so I need to make sure I’m getting out of the gate better."

First six weeks at Swindon

‘I’m enjoying it very much and I’m getting better with each meeting. I need to get double figures each meeting; my away performances have been good and I’m pretty happy. I’ve settled in really well and am content being nestled under Leigh’s [Adams] wing."

Targets for the 2008 season

"I’m going to have an 8-point average, that’s one of my main goals. At the moment I’m just under that, but it’s increasing all the time."

The Swindon team sprit

"It’s better than ever. It’s a shame Theo [Pijper] isn’t here, but he’s always coming in the pits and saying hello, he’s looking better all the time."

Working relationship with team manager Alun Rossiter

"Me and Rosco have a good understanding, we work hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is progressing well. He’s a good team manager and he does his job well."

The supporters at Blunsdon

"It’s great to have a loyal fan-base, there is a good atmosphere on the terraces. It’s cool that people like me here and I hope they continue to support us throughout the season."
