Swindon captain Leigh Adams has won the second round of the Speedway Grand Prix in Leszno, Poland.
In front of 24,000 spectators the Australian dropped just four points in his five qualifying rides before reigning victorious in a fiercely contested semi final.
Adams conjured a brilliant getaway from gate two in the final race and from that point one utilized the widening Leszno dirt line.
The results elevates Adams to fourth in the overall standings with 25 points, eight behind series leader and current World Champion Nicki Pedersen.
Reaction from Swindon captain Leigh Adams:
'This really is awesome, especially to win in Leszno, my home Polish league track. The result is huge for me and I must thank my mechanics and support team for doing such a professional job this weekend.
I swapped machinery half way through the meeting and from that point on I was unstoppable. My Grand Prix campaign starts here, i've put the disappointing result in Slovenia to bed and I'm looking to develop the momentum I've gathered tonight'
