The Robins never trailed the Panthers and initially gained the ascendancy in heat number three with a 5-1 from Mads Korneliussen and Travis McGowan.

The home side levelled the scores in heat ten but Swindon turned on the style in the final third of the meeting by registering successive heat advantages in heats twelve and thirteen which proved enough for victory.

The win puts Swindon two points clear in the league standings with thirteen Elite league matches remaining.

The charismatic Mads Korneliussen topped the Swindon score chart with a bumper paid fifteen point haul from his unrelenting six ride schedule.

Elsewhere, Leigh Adams contributed a characteristically professional performance as he eased to thirteen points whilst James Wright’s productive spell continued with yet another double figure haul.

Improved performances also came from Seb Alden 6 (2) and Travis McGowan who concluded the meeting in style with a well deserved race victory in heat fourteen.

Peterborough were well served by their Danish captain Hans Andersen but the Grand Prix rider suffered from a lack of support and was the only home rider to notch up a double points haul. Daniel King collected paid nine but Kenneth Bjerre could only muster six points on his return from injury.

Swindon firstly edged ahead with a 5-1 in heat three and repelled the Peterborough charge until heat ten when the Cambridgeshire managed to level the scores.

However, Adams and a determined Alden restored the Robins’ advantage with a well worked 4-2 in heat eleven.

Korneliussen and Wright rode superbly to repel the challenge of Kenneth Bjerre for a 5-1 in heat twelve and from that point on Swindon cruised to victory with three successive points shares concluding the proceedings.
